A mysterious shrine door blocks the path to Snow Drift Springs hideout until a coastal statue puzzle is solved. Three fox statues stand around a small pond, and a carved marker shows one in a specific pose. The goal is to light the lantern beneath the matching statue and extinguish the other two.

Where to find the coastal structures puzzle

The shrine lies in the southwest corner of the Crimson Forest region. From the map, locate the Snow Drift Springs Shrine at the dead end near a lake. The three coastal statues stand at equal intervals around a shallow pond just outside the shrine’s entrance.

How to solve the coastal structures puzzle

Step 1

Observe the fox statue in the middle of the lake. Note whether it’s crouching, standing, or looking upward.

Step 2

Pick up the torch from a brazier nearby.

Step 3

Use the torch to light the lantern beneath the statue that matches the statue in the lake.

Step 4

Extinguish any other lit lanterns by interacting with them to ensure only the correct one remains aflame.

Step 5

Return to the shrine entrance. The door will open, granting access to the hidden hideout beyond.

Gaining access to the hidden path

Once the bridge deploys, cross it to enter the secret ruin beyond. Inside, you’ll find valuable loot, an Altar of Reflection, and the continuation of the Kitsune questline tied to Mount Yotei’s secrets.
