In Ghost of Yotei, Bear Rock Hot Spring is one of the few hot springs located in the Ishikari Plain region. This guide will walk through the location, how to reach it, and tips to make the most of it.
How to reach Bear Rock Hot Spring (step-by-step)
Follow these steps to reach Bear Rock Hot Spring:
Step 1: Start at Ishikari Fork

Begin your journey from Ishikari Fork, a key location in the Ishikari Plain region, near the eastern side of the Ishikari River.
Step 2: Head west up the hill

From Ishikari Fork, move westward up the hill toward the Mountain Reliquary of Strength, situated at the hilltop.
Step 3: Approach the rock arch

Instead of climbing directly up the hill, turn right when you reach the top and navigate over the rock arch formation known as Bear Rock.
Step 4: Locate the grapple swing branch

On the cliff side near the hot spring, find the grapple swing branch—a key tool for crossing the gap to the hot spring area.
Step 5: Use grapple swing and climb branches

Swing across using the grapple branch to several normal branches below, then climb these branches carefully.
Step 6: Use handholds to go higher

At the end of the branches, use handholds to climb further up toward the ledge where the hot spring is located.
Step 7: Make a jump to safer ground

From the highest handhold, jump left onto safer ground to prepare for the final climb.
Step 8: Final climb to the hot spring

Climb up the ledge, which leads directly to Bear Rock Hot Spring.
Step 9: Enter the hot spring to boost health

Bathing in the hot spring boosts Atsu’s maximum health, preparing you for tougher challenges.
Hot springs in Ghost of Yotei let Atsu rest and reflect, and doing so rewards her with a permanent increase to maximum health. Finding all 16 hot springs is also tied to the Body, Mind, and Spirit trophy.
