1. Green Hill Wolf Den – Yotei Grasslands
You’ll find this early Den south of Lake Shikotsu. Look for a mound with a tree growing from its peak, surrounded by several corpses. When you investigate, a wolf will appear and lead you to a small hunter camp. Clear the camp to complete it.

2. Great Mountain Wolf Den – Yotei Grasslands
Head west of the Nupur River. The Den rests under a rock ledge topped with a crooked tree. This one has multiple hunters hiding nearby, so prepare for a quick ambush when you follow the wolf.

3. Dying Fire Wolf Den – Ishikari Plain
Close to Nakagoya Spring, this Den features burnt trees and smoke trails still rising from the ground. The hunters here use fire traps, so time your dodges carefully as you chase the wolf toward the camp.

4. Old Wound Wolf Den – Ishikari Plain
Located west of the Rumoi River, you’ll find old battle remnants here. Wolves howl nearby before you even trigger the event. Once you start, expect to fight a larger hunter group — one of them uses a bow from elevation.

5. Hunter’s Watch Wolf Den – Tokachi Range
In the Ohara Plains, climb the rocky ridge to spot the lone tree marking the Den. The chase route here circles cliffs and ends in a fortified camp with two cages of wolves. Free them to complete it.

6. Howling Fields Wolf Den – Tokachi Range
South of Boar’s Eye Cave, this Den sits on open grassland. Visibility is high, so you can easily spot it. However, enemy reinforcements will rush in from both sides when you reach the Trapper camp. Stay alert.

7. White Scars Wolf Den – Nayoro Wilds
Found on the east bank of Kankan Creek where two river branches meet. The terrain here is snowy, making the wolf’s tracks clearer. Expect ice traps scattered near the hunter base.

8. Cold Lake Wolf Den – Teshio Ridge
Travel toward the cliffs west of Sarobetsu Lake. The Den sits above frozen ledges that require climbing. Hunters camp nearby with dogs, making it one of the tougher Dens. Defeat the camp leader to finish it.

9. Biting Wind Wolf Den – Teshio Ridge
Located north of Sentinel Forest, this Den is high on a ridge with harsh winds. The wolf will lead you through narrow passes and over small cliffs. The Trapper camp is well hidden in snow fog — listen for growls to find it.

10. Waterfall Wolf Den – Oshima Coast
At the easternmost edge of the map, you’ll see a huge waterfall with mist clouds. The Den is right beside it. Climb either side to reach the top where hunters have trapped wolves behind crates. Free them to unlock your final Technique Point.

How to complete a Wolf Den
Step 1
Locate a den by searching for a mound or rock with a lone tree and often enemy corpses nearby.
Step 2
Examine the body or corpses near the Wolf Den’s entrance to trigger your wolf companion to appear and start the chain events.

Step 3
Follow your wolf on horseback, tracking enemy scent trails to a Saito’s camp or outlaw encampment.

Step 4
Defeat all enemies at the camp, sometimes under extra conditions such as fighting in a blizzard or freeing more than one wolf.

Step 5
Once the area is cleared, open any cages and free the wolves to complete the den and receive your skill point.
