How to find and use each hot spring

Step 1

Travel to the general area shown on your region map. Hot springs are marked once you’ve uncovered their surrounding fog of war.

Step 2

Look for environmental cues. Rising steam, rock pools, and wooden signposts often indicate an onsen nearby.

Step 3

Approach the pool and interact with it to Rest. Atsu will undress and step in, triggering the meditation scene.

Step 4

Choose a reflection topic (similar to Tsushima). The dialogue offers a glimpse into Atsu’s mindset and journey.

Step 5

Once complete, you'll get a permanent increase to maximum health. Repeat this process at every hot spring until all are unlocked.

With each Hot Spring offering both gameplay advantages and moments of narrative reflection, these locations become an essential part of the adventure.
