You may be forgiven to think the ‘Android One’ program is dead, such is the lack of launches and all about the whole initiative. Today, the ‘Android One’ series got a new launch from General Mobile, and it’s the GM6 we’re looking at.
Armed with all decent specs you’d expect in a mid-ranger today, the General Mobile GM6 doesn’t disappoint. That being an Android One set, it would receive prompt software updates in another huge factor of GM6. Let’s check out is specs below.
General Mobile GM6 Specs
- 5.0-inch HD IPS display (294PPI)
- 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor
- Android 7.0 Nougat (No Android 7.1.1 pre-installed)
- 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash; 8MP front facing camera
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB internal storage
- 150 grams
- 8.6mm thick (144 x 71.3 x 8.6 mm)
- Fingerprint scanner
- Dual SIM variant too
It’s surprising that even after bestowing the Android 7.1.1 update on GM5, the GM isn’t giving GM6 7.1.1 build right out of the box.
But anyway, with the addition of fingerprint scanner, decent hardware bump thanks to MT6737T processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, a dual SIM variant, apart from decent enough cameras, the General Mobile GM6 looks like a decent deal.
