Gambler's Secret Wandering Tale Walkthrough - Where Winds Meet

Gambler’s Secret is a treasure-hunt Wandering Tale located at South Gate Avenue in Kaifeng City. Starting inside the lively Incomparable Tavern, you’ll unravel rumors of a hidden treasure, chase clues through multiple dice duels, and explore several locations across Kaifeng—only to discover that the entire hunt is a cleverly staged prank.

Please note that this quest may be shown as an Exploration quest in the beginning and as a Wandering Tale as you progress. It is due to an in-game bug. On ending the quest, it will be recorded as a Wandering Tale.

Location & how to start

Interact with the crowd in the Incomparable Tavern at the South Gate Avenue of Kaifeng City to begin the exploration. Eavesdrop at the tavern to start the quest.

Walkthrough

Here is how you can complete the Gambler's Secret Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet:

Step 1: Speak to the Treasure Hunters

Travel to South Gate Avenue and find the crowd of Treasure Hunters. Speak with them to learn about this secret treasure.

Step 2: Speak with Gai Zhongyan

Gai Zhongyan is the Master Gambler, ask him about the Gambling King's treasure.

Step 3: Pay him for the duel

Gai Zhongyan asks you to play a round of gambling. Pay him to trigger this duel.

Step 4: Win the dice game

You need to long hold the W-A-S-D keys or the Controller buttons to roll the dice properly. You will get the Clue Map: Cuju clues on winning the game. Use Wind Sense.

Step 5: Go to Qiyun Society

Make your way to Qiyun Society in Cuju Fields, in the South Kaifeng City to know more about the clues.

Step 6: Talk to Xia Ban

Talk to Xia Ban and complete a dice game here to get the next clue.

On winning the game you receive the Clue Map: Tea Cup.

Step 7: Go to Jiang's Teahouse

As a part of next clue progress, go to Jiang's Teahouse. Find Xia Zhi here. He does not seem to be in a good position.

Step 8: Khaitan Warriors' Dice Game

In the left side room, find the Khaitan Warriors and play another dice game with Wu Gulin.

On winning, you get the Clue Map: Withered Tree.

Step 9: Find Immortal Tree

The next clue shows the way to an Immortal Tree in the Vigilance Garden.

Step 10: Get the Withered Tree Coin Pouch

Using Celestial Seize, get the Withered Tree Coin Pouch from Gui Zhongyan.

Step 11: Open the pouch

You get a Paper Slip and Bronze Key from the pouch but where does the key go is still unknown.

Step 12: Use the Bronze Key

Go the South Gate Avenue's main market area. Climb inside the building and find an incense burner.

Use the bronze key here. You will know that this was all a prank. The Wandering Tale ends here.
