Earlier tipped for release alongside the Galaxy Note 7 — a massive project totally a shut-down now because of well-known issue — the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is still a tablet many Android users would be eagerly waiting for to come to market. The latest rumors does point to its release, scheduled for Q1 2017.

Not much is known about the Tab S3’s specs, but it’s rumored to house a Exynos processor, that must be quad-core chip at the very least.

Moreover, the Tab S2 would come in at least two variants: WiFi and LTE. We think the 3G model too would make it, but maybe limited to some countries.

Rumors also point to IP68 certification for the Tab S3, making it a dust and water resistant tablet, although nothing is official as of today.

If you are planning to buy a premium tablet, we would ask you to hold your buying impulse for now, only because Tab S3 is on the horizon. It it looks anywhere near to another upcoming Samsung device — Galaxy C9 — then you would really curse yourself for not waiting for the Tab S3.

The device is expected to launch with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but Samsung’s Nougat update shouldn’t be far.
