Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update, build P580KXU1BQD9

Looks like Samsung is giving the users of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 a nice little surprise. The tablet from Samsung is currently receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat. Yes, that is right.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 was released in May last year, so it’s about time it got an update. The update is being seeded over-the-air with the build number P580KXU1BQD9. This is a major update, so the file will be large in size.

Before installing the update, make sure the tablet is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and that it has more than 50 percent of battery life. Android 7.0 Nougat brings several new features, including a split-screen mode, better notifications, and much more.

Both the Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi+LTE variants of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 are receiving the Nougat update. The build number for the LTE variant is P585N0KOU1BQD9. We have included the firmware file for the Wi-Fi variant below, in case you would like to manually install it.
