A new rumor corroborates previous rumors about Samsung ditching the hardware home button and navigation keys on the Galaxy S8.
According to the new rumor, the Galaxy S8 will not have the familiar Home button or the capacitive navigation keys. Instead, on-screen soft keys with 3D Touch like functionality would be included.
Again, this is still a rumor, nothing concrete, so take it with a pinch of salt. The leaker also tweeted that the soft touch keys could be customizable according to the users needs. No home button would obviously mean a very thin bottom bezel. We’ve also heard rumors about an edge-to-edge display on the upcoming flagship.
Samsung might also move the fingerprint scanner that was available on the Home button, to the back of the device. Again, we’ve heard this rumor before. However, another rumor stated that the S8 may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other rumored specs include, dual camera, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM and a release date of February 26.
