The Galaxy S8 Active has been subject to a good number of leaks in the recent past with all of them suggesting that it’s very close to the official launch. A new leak surrounding the handset has surfaced online in the form of a Geekbench listing which brings it an inch closer to the launch.
The listing reveals the presence of Snapdragon 835 chipset alongside 4GB of RAM which is kind of obvious. It can also be seen running Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The Active variant (SM-G892A) is basically aimed for folks who tend to live on the edge. The handset, unlike the standard variant, will have a rugged body and can serve the purpose even in extreme weather conditions.

For the most part, the device’s design was under the wraps but we got hold of it finally, thanks to this rumor. There’s still no word on the official launch date of the Active variant.
However, considering that it has already made it to Geekbench, we should see it go official very soon.
