Recently Samsung announced the ‘Galaxy Beta program’ app for its devices, with which users can participate in the Nougat testing. Now, leak reveals the Nougat testing is right now exclusive for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge — nothing surprising here — and the test period starts from 9 November 2016 to mid-December.

So, if you wanted to come out with a proper Nougat release — that of final build, not a test one — you could assume that to be something around December end, by which time Samsung would complete the test by mid-December, iron out issues (if any) it finds, and release the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge sets.

We always knew the likes of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge would be first ones to grab the Android 7.0 update from Samsung, and this leak only confirms that.

It’s confirmed hereby that the unlocked S7 sets only will be confirmed for the Nougat testing, and that Olympic edition and Batman edition are not part of the update.
