After pushing the Nougat update to Galaxy S6 Edge+ units in Turkey, Samsung is now rolling out the update to the said Galaxy device in Europe. Galaxy S6 Edge+ users in Europe have reported receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Arriving as build number G928FXXU3CQC2, the update bumps the Marshmallow OS to Nougat in S6 Edge+. It also installs the latest March Android security patch on the device and fixes regular bugs, other than optimizing device performance.

Once updated to Nougat OS, Galaxy S6 Edge+ gets many new features which enhances the UX viz improved menu settings, split window mode, better notifications control, doze mode for better battery performance etc. The update is being rolled out as an OTA and may take a while to reach your device. If you do not want to wait, you can right away look for it by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

If you find the OS update sitting there, you can download and install it. However, before hitting the download button it is advisable to ensure that your device is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network.
