The Canadian carrier Rogers has listed that the latest Samsung flagship smartphone duo – Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will receive the Android 5.1 Lollipop update in June. The other carriers are also estimating the update to the rolled out at the same time.

In April, it was claimed that the South Korean tech giant is prepping the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the devices. The update was speculated to bring the Guest Mode feature along with the support to click images in RAW format.

The Guest Mode feature was included by Google in the Android 5.0 Lollipop build, but Samsung has still not implemented this feature in its devices. The Camera2 API enables the CMOS camera sensors to click the images in RAW, and this feature is also not incorporated in the stock Samsung camera.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop update is expected to bring these features to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. While the Canadian carriers have revealed that these devices will be rolled out next month, there is no word on when the update will make its way to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the other markets.
