Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM (SM-N208) which bumps up the software to Android Nougat. The update is being rolled out over the air.
Arriving as build number N9208XXU3CQC6 to Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM (also known as Note 5 Duos), the update installs the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It also brings the March security patch update.
Once the Nougat has been installed, users of Galaxy Note 5 Duos will be greeted with a handful of new features viz split-window mode, improved menu settings, improved user interface and notification controls. The OTA update should reach your device soon if it hasn’t already. Or instead of waiting you can check for it manually by going to Settings > About device > System updates.
As Nougat software update files are usually on the hefty side, it is advisable to sufficiently charge your Galaxy Note 5 Duos before initiating the download. Also, get your device connected to a WiFi network to avoid extra data charges.
