Think it’s too early for Galaxy Note 3 rumors? Well, think again — even though you are damn right. The Korean Times just heard a Sammy guy talk about 6.3″ displays in production or at least in production-planning and at the very least in planning of even the production-planning, we’re sure! The Note 2 just came, you see, and one expects Samsung execs to be more busy with Galaxy S4 of Galaxy S series, from which Note series is worked out on yearly basis, only with S-Pen and bigger display. Anyway, that was how rumors came out that Note 3 will have teratoid-ish 6.3″ display.

Well, the only way I see that happening is that Samsung has got some real wind off Sony’s quarters that their 6-incher is indeed real, and Sammy — a big believer in numbers game when it comes to display size, aka larger the better — thought about it, then some more, and came with an instant solution: let’s do 6.3-inch — an increase of .3 inches and good 5% over Sony’s rumored phablet.

The only single time Samsung missed out on the display size of its flagship device was with 4″ Galaxy S, when both Motorola and HTC had a 4.3″ device in market, the Droid X and Evo 4G respectively.

But SGS was Samsung’s first device running Android OS that Samsung put some serious efforts on, with full screen and the 3 buttons up front (the combo that still lives on, whether liked or not) — fyi, both the original Galaxy (GT-7500) and Galaxy Spica (my first android phone, GT-i5700) had some extra not-required buttons like a green one to pick up a call and red one to end the call, let alone one big massive D-Pad, and stuff.

Since the Galaxy S, Samsung has always been one notch up (or equal, if you are looking at Galaxy S2) when it comes to display, 4.8″ Galaxy S3 for HTC’s 4.7″ One X is one example, and Note series is an entirely different saga which has already garnered more than tens of millions consumers for Samsung, combined both of Galaxy Note 1 and Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumor 6.3 inch display

There has been much debate over Galaxy Note 2’s size, and while people do like it — that many can’t just buy it for show-off and still use it for over an year — that size is clearly not for everyone.

But 6.3? Come on, that’s more suitable for a Tab branding, or Note 6.3 (in fact, anything but Note 3), unless it’s kind of fold-able, or some such stuff. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has a sim-card slot, 3G and makes calls too. Only if it had S-Pen, like the Galaxy Note 1/2 and Galaxy Note 10.1, it would have been simply called Note 7 by Samsung. Which is why, I am more inclined to call it Note 6.3, if it’s any real.
