Back at the IFA event in August where Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 2, we also got to know the pricing of the Vodafone variant of the device for the German market. But now, thanks to UK retailer Clove UK, the pricing of the device in the UK as well as the launch date has been revealed.
According to Clove’s official blog, the Galaxy Note 2 will tentatively cost £546 including VAT, and will launch in mid-October in the UK. Yes, quite an hefty price tag, but considering what the Galaxy Note 2 has on offer, the price is justified at least in the beginning (it’s sure to drop later on like the original Galaxy Note). We’ve already seen the benchmarks of the Galaxy Note 2 as well, and it beats the living daylights out of all other devices, including the Galaxy S3.
Of course, contracts will offer the Galaxy Note 2 at cheaper pricing, but those looking to pick it up off-contract won’t be so pleased with the high price tag. But hey, fingers crossed and hopefully we’ll see the price drop soon after launch. What do you think? Getting a Galaxy Note 2 no matter the price? Do let us know in the comments!
