Samsung recently officially announced the Galaxy Note 10.1, the tablet brother of the original Galaxy Note, to be released globally at the end of this month. But while the device itself may not be released for a couple of weeks, Sammobile – the famous unofficial source for Samsung firmware – has gotten hold of the Android 4.0.4 firmware of the Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi variant and released it online.

Now, while the general public will not find any use for the firmware, it will help the custom development community to take a look at how things work in the Galaxy Note 10.1, and they will also be able to leak out such goodies like wallpapers, ringtones, or even the TouchWiz launcher that runs on the Note 10.1 which users will be able to use on other devices. And of course, once the tablet does get released, the firmware will help users get back to stock firmware in case they mess up things while trying out custom ROMs and modifications.

For those interested in taking a look at the firmware, they can download it from → here. Here’s hoping for a quick release of the Galaxy Note so that developers can start working their magic with custom ROMs and other useful modifications.
