This is not good news, not good at all. After many reports of Samsung delaying the launch of the Galaxy Nexus — Google’s Android 4.0 flagship phone — in India month after month, Samsung India has now made it official (in a reply to an interested consumer on Twitter) that the Nexus will not be making its way to India. Instead, Samsung says to wait for the next big thing, aka the Galaxy S3 which is to be announced at their Unpacked 2012 event on May 3 (which is today for many).

This is a great disappointment, specially for those who were looking to buy the Nexus and get the pure Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich experience. Not only that, the Nexus devices are also the first ones in line whenever a new Android update is released by Google, which is another reason people get one. But alas, it seems the Indian consumers will not be able to get their hands on the Galaxy Nexus, at least not officially (you can always get one from the gray market, without a bill or warranty).

Unhappy about Samsung’s evil decision to skip the Galaxy Nexus in India? Or have you already got one by unofficial means or intend to do so? Drop a line in the comments.
