Samsung’s mid-range device Galaxy J7 Prime may soon be getting Android 7.0 Nougat update. We draw our inference from a GFXBench listing which has the Galaxy J7 Prime listed running Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
This possibly could mean that Samsung is currently testing the Nougat update for the mentioned Galaxy device. And once the testing is completed, a stable build of the new software will be rolled out to the Galaxy J7 Prime.
Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime last year in September to woo the mid-range section with great internal hardware. The specsheet which boasts of 5.5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass on top, octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 13MP/8MP camera combo, 3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB ROM is near perfect. The only missing link is the Android Marshmallow OS which has not been upgraded yet.
