The new budget smartphone from Samsung, Galaxy J3 2017, is in the news once again. The 2017 iteration of Galaxy J3 has been spotted on US regulator site FCC in two variants- an unlocked version and a T-Mobile version.
Cleared by FCC, both the devices carry the model numbers SM-J327T and SM-J327U, where SM-J327 stands for Galaxy J3 2017 while ‘T’ and ‘U’ are synonymous with T-Mobile and Unlocked. Thus, SM-J327U is the carrier-unlocked variant of J3 2017 while SM-J327T is the T-Mobile variant.
Samsung clearly plans to launch the upcoming Galaxy J3 2017 via several carriers as the device had earlier popped up on WiFi Alliance bearing model numbers for Verizon and Sprint carriers.
Another rumor also points towards Galaxy J3 (2017) being launched on AT&T prepaid and Cricket Wireless carriers, only under a different name, the Galaxy Express Prime 2.
