After officially announcing the Galaxy C9 Pro last month in China, the pricing has been revealed to be 3199 yuan, or $470 (that’s about Rs. 31,000). Available in Gold and Rose Gold, you can order the phone starting tomorrow.
The C9 Pro is a beast and it comes packed with a massive 4000mAh battery, 1080p 6-inch AMOLED screen which is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 653 Octa Core Processor and a whopping 6 GB of RAM.
This trend of humongous batteries and laptop size RAM is showing up in many phones, ranging from Huawei’s Mate 9 to Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2. OEM’s are quickly realizing that cutting on performance and going slim isn’t the way to win over customers. Nevertheless, the Galaxy C9 Pro is pretty thin at 6.9mm and overall it packs a punch.
The front and back cameras are the same at 16MP each with a F/1.9 aperture Providing a wider depth of field for selfies and the like.
The Galaxy C9 Pro is also keeping to the new standard and opting to go with a USB type C with Samsung’s Fast Charging. It ships with built in 64 GB of internal memory and the option of expandable memory up to 256 GB is also Provided. It comes with the usual set of sensors, fingerprint included, and it’s nice to see that Samsung has retained NFC and not disappointed like OnePlus did with their latest flagship.
Unfortunately the Galaxy C9 Pro doesn’t ship with Android Nougat and comes pre-loaded with Marshmallow 6.0.1 based TouchWiz. But we can expect Samsung to update it in the near future.
There’s also a short video showing faster camera click on the Galaxy C9 Pro, which you may want to give a look.
Thanks PCPOP!
