Samsung is planning to introduce its C series of phones in India, beginning with Galaxy C9 Pro that was announced in China back in September 2016. As per rumors, it is being said that Galaxy C9 Pro is going to be unveiled on 18th of January in India.
Galaxy C9 Pro was released in Rose and Rose Gold color choices in China, but later got the Black color variant too. As it’s priced CNY 3199 there, we think Indians would have to shell around INR 31,000 if they want Samsung first full metal phone, a phablet actually, in India.
Coming to the Galaxy C9 Pro specs, it is expected to run Android Marshmallow out of the box. C9 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 chipset, among which four cores are clocked at 1.95GHz and other four at lower 1.4GHz, while it houses as much as 6GB RAM — which is company’s fist, too.
Galaxy C9 Pro sports a 6 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display which is aided by Adreno 510 GPU. About camera, it has a 16MP shooter on it’s front and back, but latter is supported with dual tone LED flash.
On the connectivity side, the C9 Pro gets you dual SIM support (both nano), apart from the dedicated memory card slot expandable upto 256GB. It also got NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi, while VoLTE availability is not known.
C9 Pro features USC Type C port, BTW, and comes with fast charge support and 3.5 mm audio jack, with finger print sensor housed with physical home button on front. It measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9mm and weighs in at 189 grams.
Samsung is looking to launch the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro pretty soon, and the release looks pretty close as official renders have also leaked out now. Check out the Galaxy C5 Pro specs here, which remain unofficial for now, BTW.
