What to know
- The Stick of Truth is a special Mythic item from the South Park event in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1.
- It only spawns when a “Stick of Truth” Rift Anomaly activates during a match, not in every game.
- When the anomaly is active, a clear marker appears on the map showing the exact pedestal where the stick sits.
- Only one Stick of Truth spawns per match, and the first player to reach it can claim and use it to control the storm.
In Fortnite Chapter 7, the Stick of Truth isn’t found through regular chest loot or random floor drops. Instead, it’s tied to a unique Rift Anomaly that activates mid-match. When the “Stick of Truth” anomaly appears, a clear marker is placed on the map, revealing its exact location to all players, turning it into a highly contested objective rather than a lucky find.
Where to find the Stick of Truth
The Stick of Truth doesn’t appear in every match. It only becomes available when a special Rift Anomaly called “Stick of Truth” activates during gameplay. Since this is just one of several possible Rift Anomalies in Chapter 7, it won’t trigger every game.
When the anomaly goes live, an in-game message appears, “The truth is upon us! Grab the Stick of Truth to control the storm!” At the same time, a map marker highlights the exact location of the Stick of Truth, visible to all players. Because everyone can see it, the area quickly turns into a hotly contested battleground rather than a quiet pickup spot.

How to find and grab the Stick of Truth
When the “Stick of Truth” Rift Anomaly is active, the map will show a marker pointing to a specific pedestal where the stick sits. Here’s how to get it:
Step 1
Watch for the Rift Anomaly message in the middle of the match. The Stick of Truth anomaly usually only spawns after the third storm circle closes, so keep an eye out from that point onward.

Step 2
Once the anomaly is active, open your map and locate the special marker showing the exact pedestal where the Stick of Truth has spawned. Move quickly to that location, as only one Stick of Truth appears per match, making it a race between players and squads to reach it first.

Step 3
Approach the pedestal and interact with it to pick up the Stick of Truth. Once it’s claimed, the map marker disappears, and the stick is added directly to your inventory, signaling that it’s now under your control.

How to use the Stick of Truth
The Stick of Truth can be used once per match. When activated, it moves the final storm circle to your current location, letting you decide where the endgame takes place and forcing opponents to rotate toward you. After use, the stick is consumed and is no longer available for that match.

Using the Stick of Truth
The Stick of Truth isn’t a guaranteed pickup, it only appears when its special Rift Anomaly activates during a match. When it does, a map marker reveals its exact location, turning it into a race for control. Watch for the mid-match anomaly message, move fast to the marked pedestal, and claim it first if you want the power to shape the final storm in your favor.
