You can reveal Yotei Six Camps as red territories on your world map as you progress. When you liberate an area, it turns gray, marking it as cleared. To speed up locating these camps, follow these tips:

  • Use the Traveler’s Attire: It enhances exploration and helps detect undiscovered activity points.
  • Talk to villagers or captured NPCs for rumors about nearby Yotei Six Camps.
  • Follow golden birds, as they sometimes lead to uncompleted territories.​

How to clear a Yotei Six Camp

Here is how you can clear each Yotei Six Camp in Ghost of Yotei to get the "For the Living" trophy:

Step 1

Mark all visible red enemy camps on your map, then fast travel to the nearest unlocked location.

Step 2

Approach the camp strategically. Take out watchtowers and archers first, as they will spot you easily once combat begins.

Step 3

Search for the camp leader — often found behind gated areas or elevated platforms. Engage in the final duel when prompted. Winning this fight completes liberation for that camp.

Step 4

Verify camp clearance by checking the map; the area should turn neutral or display a "Liberated" message.

When to attempt it

You can attempt the For the Living trophy at any stage of the game, but it’s best done after completing the main story. By then, your combat skills, weapons, and stances will be fully upgraded, making later duels significantly easier. None of these trophies are missable, so you can freely explore post-story.​​
