Kohana Volcano and Volcanic Depths locations
You will spend most of your time at Kohana Volcano because it hosts the Hazmat Leader quest, the magma-type fishing you need for the counter, and convenient selling nearby to build your coin total while you fish.
Once you complete the quest, the Teleport prompt close to the quest giver is your direct route to the Volcanic Depths below the volcano.
How to unlock the Hazmat Suit in Fish It
Step 1: Get to Kohana Volcano
Head to Kohana Island and make your way to Kohana Volcano, since the Hazmat Suit quest begins there and the required fish are caught there.
Step 2: Talk to the Hazmat Leader and accept the quest
Find the Hazmat Leader NPC near the volcano and interact with them to start the Hazmat Suit quest. If you skip this, your progress will not count because the quest needs to be active.
Step 3: Start grinding Magma or Lava fish until you hit 1,000
Fish in the volcano area and focus only on catches labeled Magma or Lava. This is the longest part, so settle in and keep an eye on your quest counter as it climbs.
Step 4: Build up 2,000,000 coins while you grind the fish requirement
Sell your catches frequently so your coin total rises naturally alongside your fishing progress.
The goal is to finish both requirements at about the same time instead of doing a separate coin grind later.
Step 5: Turn in the quest and receive the Hazmat Suit
Once your quest shows 1,000 Magma or Lava fish and 2,000,000 coins collected, return to the Hazmat Leader and complete the quest. The Hazmat Suit will be added to your inventory.
Step 6: Equip the Hazmat Suit from your inventory
Open your inventory and equip the Hazmat Suit so your character is wearing it. This step matters because the suit is what prevents the lava hazard from killing you in the underground zone.
Step 7: Use the Teleport prompt near the quest giver to enter Volcanic Depths
Near the Hazmat Leader, look for the Teleport prompt and interact with it to be transported to the Volcanic Depths underneath Kohana Volcano.
Is Hazmat Suit worth it?
The Volcanic Depths is a high-end fishing zone where you can chase some of the rarest fish tied to the region, including the Magma Shark and at least one new Secret fish. The Hazmat Suit is essentially your entry ticket, because without it you cannot survive the lava hazard long enough to fish there.

Finish the Hazmat Suit grind without slowing down
Try to treat the suit as a single loop: fish, sell, repeat, all in the volcano zone so both requirements progress together. If your coins are behind your fish count, sell more often; if your fish count is behind, stay focused on lava-area fishing and avoid wasting time in other zones.
If you stay at Kohana Volcano, keep the quest active, and sell regularly, you will unlock the Hazmat Suit efficiently and open the Teleport route into Volcanic Depths. From there, you are set up to start the real endgame chase for the zone’s rare and secret fish.
