What to know

Quarry Rescue is a side mission in Valley IV that unlocks after finishing the Paving the Way main quest.

In Arknights: Endfield, the Quarry Rescue side mission sends you into Aburrey Quarry to push through enemies and reach a locked gate that blocks progress. The key is recognizing that the door opens only when both nearby pads have tall Drop Crates placed on them, and the forklift is your way into the sealed crate area where those tall crates are stored.

Where the door puzzle happens
After entering Aburrey Quarry, you’ll fight through Aggeloi and descend via a rope at the left side of the entrance area to reach deeper sections of the quarry. Past another combat stretch, you arrive at a locked door with two pads on the ground nearby—this is the puzzle zone where you’ll be using a forklift, a shipping container you can pass through, and multiple Drop Crates (including two tall ones needed to open the gate).
How to open the door in Quarry Rescue
Step 1
Get to the locked gate area and confirm the two pads near the door that require tall Drop Crates to unlock it.
Step 2
From the door, head to the right side and go through the nearby shipping container (enter and exit out the other end) to reach the forklift.
Step 3
Interact with the forklift to raise the box higher.
This will create a climbable route to reach the sealed area behind the laser barrier.
Step 4
Now reposition a Drop Crate close to the stacked boxes so you can climb onto the now-raised forklift path.
Step 5
Use the raised route to hop over into the area blocked by the laser gate, where two Drop Crates are stored.
Step 6
Move the smaller Drop Crate onto the pad inside that area to disable the laser barrier.
Then push the larger crate out so you can transport crates back toward the main door.
Step 7
Bring the two tall Drop Crates to the locked gate and place one tall crate on each of the two pads to unlock the door and continue.

Once you understand that the forklift is only there to get you into the laser-blocked crate storage, the puzzle becomes a simple loop: raise the route, disable the laser with the smaller crate, then deliver the two tall crates to the two pads by the gate. After the door opens, keep moving to finish Quarry Rescue and transition into Fix the Super Crane.
