What are exploration quests in Where Winds Meet

In Where Winds Meet, exploration quests are a specific category of side quests focused on uncovering new areas of the world, interacting with the environment, solving puzzles, and discovering hidden content rather than just following the main story. These quests reward exploration progress, which helps unlock traversal skills, rewards, and deeper access to world features.

How exploration quests work

1. Finding and triggering them

Exploration quests usually appear once you reach certain areas, interact with environmental features (like shrines, ruins, Boundary Stones), or discover NPCs with world-related tasks.

2. Completing objectives

Unlike combat-focused quests, many exploration quests require you to move through the environment, solve puzzles, locate hidden items, or interact with special structures. These interactions push map progress and uncover secrets.

3. Gaining exploration progress

Once you complete an exploration quest, you earn Exploration Points or unlock new zones, contributing to your region’s exploration rank. Higher ranks yield access to things like lightness arts, traversal skills, and Exploration Attributes.

4. Tracking progress in the Journal

Your Exploration Journal tab shows how much you’ve explored in each region—so you can see how many quests and activities remain before reaching the next exploration milestone.
