What to know

  • FIIO is launching a Snowsky Disc digital audio player.
  • It looks to mimic the CD players of old.
  • Snowsky Disc will presumably have better specs than the Echo Mini, including options to favorite songs easily and create playlists.
  • Snowsky Disc launches on 13th December, 2025, at an expected price of $70-80.

FIIO, the company behind the popular digital audio player (DAP) Snowsky Echo Mini, is bringing a new DAP - Snowsky Disc.

The company announced the new DAP on all major platforms to capture as many eyeballs as possible. The biggest change from the previous DAP is the Disc-shaped display. Presumably, it will mimic a rotating CD, just as the Echo Mini mimicked a cassette. The keyword here is 'mimic' since it's small enough to fit in one's palm, and wouldn't take CDs. It would be great to see the album art on it though.

From the looks of it, Snowsky Disc will retain the 3.5mm jack and the 4.4mm Balanced outputs, the USB-C input for charging and plugging into your computer, the power button, and the multi-purpose volume rockers. FIIO hasn't mentioned what the MicroSD card storage capacity will be, but we hope it's not limited to 256GB only.

One Redditor posted the following leaked image of the Snowsky Disc in action, though we couldn't verify its authenticity.

What we're really looking forward to seeing are some basic features that smartphone users of today have come to expect, such as the ability to create playlists, favorite songs easily, and better options for Fast Forward and Rewind - some of which can be seen on the leaked image.

Snowsky Disc is expected to launch on 13th December 2025 at an expected price of $70-80, along with a few other FIIO gadgets.
