The fact that Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 will be shipped with built-in wireless charging is almost certain now. The report has been confirmed with the US communications regulator FCC giving clearance to a Samsung wireless charger which we believe belongs to Galaxy S8.

FCC lists the charger as model number EP-PG950. And as Galaxy S8 model number is SMG950, the connection is evident. Notably, Samsung introduced the concept of wireless charging with Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Samsung has scheduled March 29th for the release of Galaxy S8 and this wireless charger should be mentioned during the launch.

On the other, FCC gave clearance to two other devices with model number A3LSMG9500 and A3LSMG9550, for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus respectively, to be released in China.
