With many new devices having been announced at the IFA event in Berlin in August, we are seeing a lot of devices making a stop at the FCC as they prepare for launch, and the latest to do so is the LG Optimus L9.

The Optimus L9 resides at the top end of the L-style series of LG smartphones, sporting a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4.7″ IPS display, 5MP rear and VGA front cameras, 4GB internal storage, and a 2,150 battery. It will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with LG’s UX user interface on top. The Optimus L9 will also feature a Qtranslator app, which can translate text from 44 different languages using Optical Character Recognition technology. Something to notice is the large 2,150 mAh battery, which seems to be becoming the norm for all high-end devices announced by LG in recent months.

With a combination of good specs and great looks, the LG Optimus L9 is one device to watch out for, though the upcoming Optimus G will most likely take away all the limelight from other LG devices. We’ll let you know details on pricing and availability pending further info.
