On December 1st, 2025, Battlestate Games temporarily shut down servers for Escape from Tarkov around 5 AM GMT, with expected downtime to be at least six hours. This downtime comes as the Escape from Tarkov's new patch 1.0.0.2 goes live today. The developers have introduced this technical patch as the biggest turnover for gameplay stability, matchmaking, database updates, and other necessary troubleshooting.

With this patch, several animation problems and visual clarity issues have been targeted. The mystery of Error 710 tied to story tasks has also been brought up and eradicated. You will also see improvements during raids: Kaban's weapons will not float mid-air anymore, bot bodies will not vanish mid-healing in PvE. The CyberTark background and 7.62x51 ammo values have been corrected.

Other than this, you will also feel a difference in raid flow, quality of progression, as geometry issues and snag point issues are being addressed with this patch. The Z-blur graphics settings also work properly again, giving you more control over the game's visual comprehension.

This patch aims to give you a more dependable and satisfying loop — fewer interruptions, fewer odd bugs, and more confidence as you move through your objectives.
