Cash in Escape From Duckov is crucial for trading and buying important upgrades or items during raids. Field merchants often require Cash instead of Money, so having physical currency on hand is necessary for consistent purchasing power in the field. Unlike Money, Cash cannot be transferred directly to your stash but must be earned, saved, and spent carefully.​

How currency works in Escape From Duckov

There are two primary forms of currency in the game:

• Cash: A physical green item carried in your inventory, required to purchase items from specific "cash only" vendors found on the maps.
• Money: Your account balance used primarily within your base for crafting upgrades, buying from vending machines, and other base-related transactions.

An ATM can be built in your base to withdraw and store Cash that helps to manage funds. The game will also automatically use Cash if your Money balance isn't sufficient when purchasing at the base. Avoid selling Cash at vending machines since it converts at a worse rate than selling items directly or using cash for transactions.

How to Get Cash Fast

The most effective way to get cash quickly involves a combination of looting, farming, and questing. Here's how:

Loot Ground Zero Map

Starting at the bunker's main entrance, take the left path along the edge of the map to the bandit camp. Loot toolboxes for crafting materials and search the weapon chest near the campfire for valuable guns and gear.

Farm Black Bird enemies

North of the bunker cellar shortcut is a fenced compound with heavily armed black birds. They drop high-tier weapons, level 2 armor, and ammo, which sell for good cash. Taking down the boss, Pato Chapo, yields highly valuable loot too.

Complete quests and side contracts

Many quests give direct cash rewards and open up access to new merchants with better prices.

Sell smart

Avoid selling crafting materials like wrenches, circuit boards, and medical supplies which are essential for base upgrades. Instead, sell duplicates and non-essential gear at vending machines or to cash vendors specializing in certain item categories.

The ATM is another way to convert money into cash. Build an ATM early in your base once you have the required items, typically a Radio and a Mic, so you can withdraw physical Cash from your Money balance before heading out on raids.
