Speak with Hong Yang for information, gather the required keys from Moonveil Mountain and the cave behind Tiger Fort Outpost, then open the chest in the secret waterfall cave to complete the quest and claim your rewards.

To begin the quest, head to the marked location in Encircling Lake near the Encircling Lake Boundary Stone during the “Yin” hour, and speak with Hong Yang to start the Wandering Tale.

Walkthrough

Follow the steps below to complete this Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet.

Step 1

Once you reach Encircling Lake, use the in-game clock to shift the time to the “Yin” hour, then speak with Hong Yang by the lakeside and pay him 50 Coins for more information.

Step 2

Go to the next marked location in Moonveil Mountain and enter the large house, where you’ll need to solve the Meow Meow Puzzle to obtain the objective.

Step 3

Inside the room, ensure that only the lantern in the far-right corner—next to the red jar—is lit.

Step 4

Turn off all the other lanterns in the room to solve the Meow Meow Puzzle, then loot the box that drops from the ceiling to obtain the key.

Step 5

Go to the marked point below near the Tiger Fort Outpost and look for a fragile stone wall with explosive barrels in front of it.

Step 6

Blow up the explosive barrels with Fire arrows and loot the chests inside to obtain another key.

Step 7

From the Encircling Lake Boundary Stone, head to the marked location, climb up toward the waterfall, and jump through it to reveal a secret cave.

Step 8

Loot the chest at the end of the cave, which requires two keys to open. Looting the chest marks the end of this Wandering Tale.
