For Samsung, it must be very itching to try/test new software enhancements on their flagships. So this time the Korean manufacturer put a smart way forward to test utility features on the S7 and S7 Edge — Galaxy Labs.
If you’ve ever used Gmail Labs feature on your Gmail account, you’d get get hint of what Samsung is trying to with Galaxy Labs on Samsung devices. The electronics giant has put in a built-in a way to experiment features on its flagship devices, with public voting for feedback.
Right now, Galaxy Labs on the S7 and S7 Edge gives you two utility features:
- Show all apps on the home screen: This will show all your apps on the home screen instead of the Apps screen (app drawer).
- Quick Dial: With this you can simply make a call of the home key and a name (voice operated).
How to Enable Galaxy Labs Features
- Go to Settings » Advanced features » Galaxy Labs.
- Select the feature you want to test from the list.
- Turn it On.
This is a very welcoming feature for the Samsung devices and we guess it’ll be fun to see what new features Samsung would be bringing to Galaxy Labs in the future.
Happy Androiding!
