If you wish to keep an eye on your FPS, Ping, and other crucial network data without relying on external software, then we have got you covered (pun intended).

Just a quick reminder that if you haven't already optimised Battlefield 6 to max out your system's potential, then stay tuned. We will be dropping a dedicated Battlefield 6 optimization guide soon to help you squeeze even more frames out of your rig.

How to enable Scorecard ping

This is a quick win for gauging the overall server experience.

  1. Pause your game.
  2. Navigate to Options.
  3. On the far-left tab, select System.
  4. Click into the Network Group.
  5. Here, you can enable Scoreboard Ping. Now, when you hold down the Tab key, the names of all players will appear on the left with their corresponding ping displayed on the right.

Activate the Network Performance Graph 📶

To get a dynamic, real-time look at your connection, including packet loss, you'll want the Network Performance Bar.

  1. Pause the game again.
  2. Click the System tab.
  3. Scroll all the way down to Network Graph and select Modify.
  4. Locate the "Show Network Performance Bar" setting. Switch it from Hide to ALWAYS.
  5. Turn on "Network Widgets."
  6. We suggest setting the display to "On Problems". This way, the graph will only pop up when you're experiencing actual connectivity issues, and won’t cover your screen when your connection is solid.

Display Your FPS Overlay In-Game

If you don’t use third-party software like MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner, Battlefield 6 has a powerful built-in performance monitor.

  1. Press Esc to pause the game once again.
  2. Go to the Graphics tab.
  3. Under the first block, Graphics, select Advanced.
  4. Scroll to the bottom to find Performance Overlay.

You'll find a few different options for how much data is displayed:

  • SIMPLE: This is the most minimal view, showing only your FPS in the corner of your screen.
  • EXTRA: This kicks things up a notch, showing a lot more information at the top and bottom of your screen, including build numbers, graphics card details, and thread usage.
  • ADVANCED: This is the deep dive—it provides an overwhelming amount of raw performance data and statistics.

Our Recommendation is that while you have the option for ADVANCED monitoring, which is great for serious troubleshooting, we recommend leaving the setting on SIMPLE. It offers the essential FPS number without taking up precious screen space, which is perfect for most players focused on the action.
