Embark Studios has deployed the Shrouded Sky update, version 1.17.0, bringing dynamic weather and enemy threats to ARC Raiders. Hurricanes ravage maps with low visibility, gales, and debris, demanding adaptive tactics during raids. There are also two new ARC enemy types in the Rust Belt, heightening PvE dangers alongside projects like the Weather Monitoring System.
PvP Feats Removed
Developers have eliminated PvP feats entirely, replacing them with updated and new general feats suited for all encounters. Raiders can reroll feats up to three times daily at no cost, making progression smoother and less tied to player combat. This shift reduces PvP specialization, letting raiders focus on survival against ARC machines without competitive penalties.

Expect more immersive raids as PvP feats vanish, emphasizing cooperation and machine-hunting over rival takedowns. Increased Glory from activities rewards consistent play, while expedition catch-up systems recover missed skill points. Hurricanes and new enemies create chaos that favors team strategies, drawing players deeper into Speranza’s world.
Several Weapon Balance Shifts

Several weapons have been nerfed as well. Stitcher sees headshot multiplier drop from 2.5 to 1.75, base damage to 6.5, and dispersion rise by 50% for controlled close-quarters use. Kettle’s base damage falls from 10 to 8.5, pushing deliberate aim. Venator gets nerfed with headshot multiplier to 2 and damage to 8, curbing its PvP dominance.
Jupiter gains 2.2x ADS zoom, faster equip/unequip times for sniping viability. Aphelion speeds up with 3.5s reload, 0.7s shot interval, halved recoil, and 35% better ADS settle. Semi-auto input buffers now reward paced shots over spam, blending skill and responsiveness.
Other Key Enhancements

Craft Energy Clips by default at workbenches. Interact with pianos and shakers in-world. Facial hair customization and free Raider Decks expand personalization. Anti-cheat ramps up with bans and reviews, ensuring fair raids.
Prepare for Shrouded Sky by mastering weather reads and new feats. These changes hone ARC Raiders into a tense PvE core with optional PvP spice, rewarding smart raiders over aggressors.
