Just like the Galaxy S3, the announcement and unveiling of the Galaxy S4 is expected to take the smartphone world by storm, as each Galaxy S successor has been a major step forward than the last and a great showcase of how a smartphone can be everything a user would want it to be.
It was previously reported that the Galaxy S4 would be announced at an Unpacked event on March 15 and launched a month later, but according to Eldar Murtazin of Mobile Review, famous for his insider info and pre-launch device reviews, we may get to see the eagerly anticipated smartphone a day before that on March 14 instead.
A tweet saying to “save the date for a big announcement – March 14” by Eldar today hints at the possibility of this March 14 unveiling. While the tweet itself doesn’t say the device’s name, the fact that Eldar also mentions that “HTC will miss HTC One sales again” in the same tweet makes a pretty compelling argument in favour of the Galaxy S4, drawing parallels with how the Galaxy S3 put the kibosh on the One X’s sales last year, despite the latter being a great device from the Taiwanese manufacturer.
Save the date for a big announcement – March 14 🙂 And keep silence 😉 HTC will miss HTC One sales again 🙁 Like it was in 2012.

I really do hope Samsung makes March 14th the official date, as even though I have avowed never to buy a non-Nexus device again, being a tech geek I am impatiently waiting to see what Samsung has in store for us. And when it comes to announcements of new flagship devices, we all know how hard it can get to wait even a day to get all the details, especially when it’s the next Galaxy S phone we’re talking about.
But Samsung, a new design and more sparing use of plastic in the Galaxy S4’s construction please, God knows we’re tired of seeing every new device look like the Galaxy S3.
