Correspondent: Eastern Herald is an exploration quest in Where Winds Meet that blends investigation, storytelling, and world-building. Starting in Kaifeng City, the quest tasks you with uncovering the truth behind a mysterious white-furred figure and documenting the events as a correspondent.

This quest begins as Windpress: The Scoop. Start at Caomen Avenue, Fairgrounds in Kaifeng City. Find Qiao Yize and ask him about the correspondent.
Walkthrough
Here is how you can complete the Eastern Herald exploration quest in Where Winds Meet:
Step 1: Find Qiao Yize and inquire about the correspondent
Travel to the Caomen Avenue in Fairgrounds. Find Qiao Yize and question him about the correspondent. He reveals, he is not him, but he can help you.
He further reveals the information about some white-furred creature showing up at night, howling, in the Fairgrounds. He asks you to investigate about it.
Step 2: Visit the informant
Find Liu Zhi, the informant, on the east side of Kaifeng's Velvet Shade. She tells you that the creature invades houses.
Step 3: Check out the commotion
Go to Zhi's memory and check out the past encounter she had with the creature. Talk to Lady Wu to know further about the matter.
Step 4: Search for the traces of the monster
As you reach for the traces, in a short cutscene, you see a hopping man, who is the white-furred monster.
Step 5: Chase the monster
Chase the monster and reach the point where he is being scolded by Qing Erniang. And finally, the white-clad figure is struck down.

Step 6: Draw the scene
To recall the scene, draw a portrait of what you see. As the portrait is saved, you leave Zhi's memory.

Step 7: Return to Qiao Yize
Return to Qiao Yize with your information. He gives you an opportunity to meet the Pavilion Chief. And in return, you have to bring something fun for him.
Step 8: Draft the article
Draft the article for Yize by submitting the portrait you drew and the information about it.
On completing the draft, you get the Pen to Paper achievement and the following rewards:
- Adventure Slip x40
- Coins x5000
- Stored EXP x5100
Step 9: Meet the tower master
Talk to the Tower Master, Du Gantang, who praises you for your work.
After talking to her, you unlock the Rumor System. This concludes the exploration quest.
What is the Rumor System
It is a wandering path system, in which you use the Wind Whispers to register rumors in Kaifeng.
You can add images, drafts, and report the situations you find strange or worth sharing with other wanderers.
Completing Eastern Herald not only rewards valuable items and experience but also unlocks the Rumor System in Where Winds Meet, opening a new way to share discoveries across Kaifeng.
