LG had first introduced the Optimus L5 at MWC held in Barcelona earlier this year, and later in June announced that the Optimus L5 would have dual-SIM and NFC support in certain regions.

Now the LG Optimus L5 Dual is available in India, through online retailer Flipkart for Rs. 13,499 ( Inclusive of Shipping). Let’s have a quick look at the key specs for this budget smartphone;

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4-inch (320×480 pixels) IPS display
  • Dual-SIM support ( GSM + GSM)
  • 5MP auto-focus camera with flash
  • 800 MHz Processor with 512MB RAM
  • 4GB internal memory, Expandable microSD slot
  • 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS
  • 1,500mAh battery

Not the most appealing specs, but pretty decent for that price. This could be a decent secondary phone, for those who need to use more than 1 number, and the dual-sim support would certainly be useful for some folks. Unfortunately, no NFC support for India at this point, but then NFC (at least currently) is not a key factor which can influence buyer decision in the budget segment in this country.
