Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD owners have a sweet treat coming up next week. Motorola had announced a couple of months ago that the Droid RAZR HD and the RAZR MAXX HD would be getting the bump-up to Jelly Bean before the end of the year. Hot on the heels of the Jelly Bean update for the Razr M, Verizon confirmed earlier today that both devices would be receiving the Android 4.1 update starting next week.
Verizon has also updated updated its support site for the Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD with details about the update. The update will be pushed out in phases which means that some device owners may have to wait it out a bit longer than others.
With Android 4.1, Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD can look forward to a host of new featured on their devices, notable ones being Google Now, Improved notifications, updated Google Applications suite, better browser, and a much smoother and faster UI thanks to Project Butter, among other things.
The new Motorola sure seems to be acting fast and staying bang on schedule as committed as far as software updates are concerned, which is certainly a big plus for users who may have got Moto devices in the recent past. With the software updates bit being managed so well by Moto, all we need now is some awesome new hardware from it. Moto Nexus with Kevlar back panel, anyone?
