Google is pushing a new update to Play Store. The update bumps up the version number to 8.0.26. The earlier version was 8.0.23. And like most Play Store updates, even this one is a ghost update with no visible changes inside the app. But we’re digging for new stuff and will update this post if we find anything interesting.
The last notable Play Store update which came with version 8.0.22 brought a handful of changes to the Play Store. One of them is easy to view changelogs for app updates by bringing inline changelogs to the app updates menu.
As is always the case with Play Store updates, Google will be pushing out the new Play Store version gradually to all supported Android devices. But if you’re not the one who could wait, go ahead and grab the Play Store APK file from the download link below and install the update manually.
To install the Play Store APK file, first head to Settings > Security. Enable the installation by ‘Unknown sources’ feature and tap the APK file using a file manager app, and your installation would begin.
In case you are totally new to installing an apk file manually, you can check our step-by-step guide over here.
