Download Oppo Find 7 and 7a Marshmallow Update: CM13 and other ROMS

Oppo hasn’t confirmed its Marshmallow plans yet and so we don’t have official word on Find 7 Marshmallow update plans. Launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the device has lagged in software department from the very beginning.

To be honest, it seems very unlikely that Oppo has the resources and guts to update a device more than a year old to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Now some good news! Well, the unofficial update is available in the form of a custom ROM that would get you Android 6.0 on Find 7 and Find 7a in next few hours if everything goes right.

Called CyanogenMod 13, it’s the most popular custom ROMs available today, and serves as base for many, many other ROMs that want AOSP base. With Find 7 CM13 (and two other ROMs already available), and Find 7a CM13 (and respective two ROMs Mokee and crDroid available), you have plenty of choices to taste the Marshmallow update from Google.

Installing the unofficial update is super easy. You only need TWRP recovery for this. To get TWRP for your Find7 (use one for your Find7 variant only), look for this on Google.

If you ever want to uninstall the custom ROM, simply install the firmware for your variant of Find7 and ROM will be gone. You will be back to stock, as the company ships it with the firmware’s version.

You will get pretty cool new features in Find 7 Marshmallow update here, like the Doze mode, control over app permissions and data usage, Now on tap, etc.

Battery life on Find 7 Marshmallow update should improve a lot thanks to Doze mode and control over app permissions. Moreover, under Marshmallow, apps are hibernated completely to prevent background memory usage, thus making more RAM available for the device that speeds up performance.

Have fun the Marshmallow custom ROMs for Find 7 and Find 7A given below.
