Status: Available
Update 2 (15th Oct. 2015): Finally! A OnePlus One Marshmallow ROM is now available for real. Downloads restored.
Update:  Damn! We messed up. This isn’t Marshmallow ROM, it’s 5.1.1. We’ll update this post when a real Marshmallow ROM is available. Sorry for the trouble if you downloaded and flashed this.

And here it comes! The first Marshmallow ROM for OnePlus One is now available, thanks to xda user updateing who just released an experimental build of Android 6.0 for the device.

This is the first release of a Marshmallow ROM for OnePlus One, so expect some bugs if you’re planning on installing this. However, as per the developer’s tests, it seems like a fully functional ROM with only a few issues here and there. Major things like WiFi, Network, Mobile data, Bluetooth, Camera, 4K recording, etc. are all working pretty good.

But there are plenty of bugs as well, take a look at the list of known issues so far:

  • Camera crashes when switching between front and back camera. This does not happen with OppoCamera port or CameraNextMod, which are available in Themes & Apps section.
  • Battery drains… a little faster? (Just a little)
  • The ROM comes with ancient Launcher2. Launcher3 is not included. I will post this as an attachment.
  • Picture in apps are sometimes automatically zoomed out (and distorted) and can not be zoomed in. This seems to be a common problem among AOSP-based Marshmallow ROMs (if any)… I tried AOSP and CAF sources, and they both have the same issue.
  • Camera FC on entering camcorder. OppoCamera port or CameraNextMod can do this well.
  • 4K recording is only available with CameraNextMod.

The ROM uses kernel from CM12.1 and is based on CAF release LA.BF.1.1.3-00110-8×74.0, with minor changes for Marshmallow compatibility.

You can grab the ROM from the download link below, and simply flash it via TWRP recovery along with a Factory reset + Wipe Cache/Dalvik cache.

Since this is an AOSP based ROM, you won’t have Google services like Play Store pre-installed on the ROM. To get Google services on an AOSP ROM, you need to flash a compatible Gapps package separately using a custom recovery.

You can get Android 6.0 Marshmallow compatible Gapps package from the link below. There aren’t many available yet, but the ones listed on the link below will definitely work on OnePlus One.

For updates and bug fixes, keep an eye on the original XDA thread for newer versions of the ROM.
