The Sony Xperia V looks like a pretty normal smartphone on the outside. With a 4.3-inch 720p display and 1.5GHz dual core processor you might wonder if there’s anything good at all with this device. But five years ago, those specs were pure gold and a smartphone of this caliber stayed closer to high performance devices.
Sony even managed to make the device water resistant, which was a huge catch at that time. But things didn’t go that smoothly especially with Android ICS that the device shipped with. Fast forward five years to today, with the help of many developers, we’re able to get a taste of the latest and greatest version of Android from Lineage OS 14.1.

Since this is an official release of Lineage OS, the ROM can be expected to be used as a daily driver, but it’s preferably safer to flash the Nightly builds. If you’re the daring type and are dying to find out what’s new with Lineage then by all means go ahead with the experimental builds.
