Google is pushing an update to the Google Play Services app with a number of new features that developers could use to improve their apps. The update has already begun rolling out worldwide and you should too receive it soon. Among the new stuff introduced with this latest update to Google Play Services, the most significant is the introductions of Google Analytics API, Tag Manager, and the Address API to the Google Play Services framework. And along with that the Google Play Games services has also been enhanced.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO INSTALL GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES APK 4.3.23

Below is a neat and noob proof guide for installing Google Play Services APK OR just about any APK.

  1. Transfer the APK you downloaded to your phone to either the internal memory or external SD card.
  2. Enable installation of Apps (APKs) from Unknown sources in your device’s settings. Here’s how:
    • Android 2.3 (and below) → Go to Settings » Application » check ‘Unknown Sources’ box.

    • Android 4.0 (and above) → Go to Settings » Security and check ‘Unknown Sources’ box.

  3. Now open the folder where you downloaded or transferred the com.google.android.gms-4.3.23.apk file on your device using a file manager. If you don’t have one, we recommend the ES File Explorer File Manager app, however any file manager should work fine.
    └ If you downloaded the apk file on device, it should be in Download folder.
  4. Tap the Google Play Services APK file com.google.android.gms-4.3.23.apk to begin installation and you will be done in less than a minute.
