With news breaking that the incredible popular and still relatively new game, Flappy Bird, will be taken down from Play Store by its developer, we thought we should provide you at least with an APK of it so that you can share this very simple, beautiful and easily hate-able game with your friends, co-worker, family members and whoever who knows how to tap — and when?

While news is hard to digest — a part of me is hoping this is just a rumor to give the game extra highlight/push, but sadly that doesn’t look like happening — as long as we have the APK and can play as long as we want to, it’s a no-worry.

After all, this is game for which it’s safe to that it doesn’t demands any further work/care from its developer. No bug fixes as it’s doing good already, and no levels and features addition as it’s good as it is: simple controls (1 tap is all you need), quick, paced and quiet.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO INSTALL FLAPPY BIRD GAME USING ITS APK

Below is a neat and noob proof guide for installing Flappy Bird game’s APK (or any APK of any app/game).

  1. You need the APK file on your Android device. So, if you downloaded it on PC, transfer it to either the internal memory or external SD card of your phone and tablet.
  2. Enable installation of Apps (APKs) from Unknown sources in your device’s settings. Here’s how:
    • Android 2.3 (and below) → Go to Settings » Application » check ‘Unknown Sources’ box.

  3. Now open the folder where you downloaded or transferred the Flappy Bird_1.3.apk file on your device using a file manager. If you don’t have one, we recommend the ES File Explorer File Manager app, however any file manager should work fine.

  4. Tap the Flappy Bird APK file, Flappy Bird_1.3.apk, to begin installation and follow the instructions on the screen. That’s it, you will be done in less than a minute. You can open the app directly after the installation or look for it in the app drawer.
