Disney+ Verts is a new feature inside the Disney+ mobile app that lets you discover content through short, vertical videos—similar to scrolling through TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts. It is designed primarily for smartphone users who prefer quick, swipe-based viewing experiences.

The feature started rolling out to Disney+ subscribers in the United States in March 2026. When you open the mobile app, you may see a new “Verts” icon in the navigation bar. Tapping it opens a full-screen vertical feed of clips from Disney+ movies, shows, and other content.

Instead of browsing through menus or reading descriptions, you simply swipe up to move between clips. If a clip interests you, you can immediately start watching the full show or movie, or add it to your watchlist to view later.

The clips shown in Verts can include edited scenes from films and TV series already on Disney+, highlights from the platform’s catalog, or other short-form content created for mobile viewing. Over time, Disney may also add original vertical-format content and more personalized recommendations.

Disney created Verts to increase daily engagement with its streaming service and make discovering content easier, especially for younger viewers who are used to short, phone-friendly videos. The feed is expected to become more personalized as the algorithm learns your viewing preferences.

The idea also builds on earlier testing in the ESPN app, where Disney experimented with similar vertical highlight videos before expanding the concept to Disney+.

For users, the main benefit is faster discovery. Instead of scrolling through a large catalog of titles, you can quickly preview moments from shows and movies and decide what to watch next.
