The Kindle Fire will be getting all sorts of typical Android hacks, because after all IT’S AN ANDROID TABLET. Yes, we know it Amazon, even when you tried to hide that so much :p
So folks, XDA member JackpotClavin, just posted a couple of pictures of his Kindle Fire showing off some CyanogenMod bonding. He said that he was able to get the CM7 to boot on his Kindle Fire, but the screen was off 90 degrees. So he’ll figure it out soon, but he said nothing about what’s working and what’s not.
Here’s what he has to say about his ported CM7 ROM on Kindle Fire:
Howdy everybody! I just got CM7 to boot for the first time on the Kindle Fire. As of right now, I believe the touch screen is off 90 degrees. I know there’s a fix in the source code, I just forgot where it is but I’ll look. It might actually be an edit to the build.prop.
Stay tuned everybody, you’ll soon see a Kindle Fire near you booting a CM7 ROM. Here’s the link to OP at XDA → link. Keep your eyezz on..
