Coolpad, the Chinese vendor, had unveiled the Coolpad Note 5 Lite, a watered-down version of the original Note 5, last week in India. The company promised to make the smartphone available to Indian users by March 21. And, it fulfilled that by doing so: the Coolpad Note 5 Lite is available for grabs at Amazon today.
The handset is exclusively available in Gold and Grey color variants on Amazon for Rs. 8,199. The dual-SIM smartphone features a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass atop.
Under the hood, it has a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset clubbed with a Mali 720 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and offers 16GB of expandable (up to 64GB) storage space.

It has a 13MP camera at the back for photography enthusiasts and an 8MP front facing shooter for selfies. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with a 2,500mAh battery providing the juice for the entire package.
At the given price, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite directly competes against the like of Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime which is certainly better than the Note 5 Lite in all the aspects minus the design.
