We have known about a new device from Coolpad for long now, initially dubbed as C105, but we now have a name for it under which it will be marketed. Basically, you’re looking at the Coolpad Cool 1S (C105) in the pics above and below, and it should be released soon by the company in China and India.
All 4 handsets you see in the above pic in one device, and that’s Coolpad Cool 1S. There isn’t a fingerprint sensor up front, clearly, while to the left and right of the earpiece are proximity sensor and front camera.
Specs: The Coolpad Cool 1S seems to sport Type-C USB post, at bottom of course, while the power key and volume keys (not a rocker, separate buttons) lie on the right side of the device, which is where we think they are most convenient — except that taking screenshots using a single hand becomes a bit complicated in this setup.
The About device screen has plenty of info too. The Snapdragon 821 processor looks confirmed, while it would come pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on-board. Those hoping for Nougat will be disappointed, while we don’t think it will get 7.0 update anytime sooner, if it ever will. The device already runs the December security patch, BTW.
Other rumored specs of the Coolpad Cool1S are: 4/6GB RAM, 32/64/128GB storage, 5.5-inch 1080 display, 4000mAh battery, all crammed in 7.5mm thick body that weighs 175 grams.
Coolpad Cool 1S Release Date
You can expect the Cool 1S to hit the market in December 2016 itself in China. While, it could be released in India by Coolpad sometime in January 2017.
